P. Holtorp was a Danish pipe maker known for his work with Pipe-Dan in Copenhagen during the 1960s and possibly into the early 1970s, alongside notable artisans like Sven Knudsen, Tom Eltang, and Gert Holbek. Unlike the popular Danish “fancy freehand” style, Holtorp’s pipes leaned toward elegant, bold designs with clean lines and robust forms, often described as “manly” and suited for those who appreciate substantial pipes. His craftsmanship was of high quality, featuring dense, flawless graining, though straight grains were rare. Many of his pipes were sold through Pipe-Dan, even after he moved to his own workshop.
All pipes are cleaned and inspected to the best of my ability. Any possible defects will be shown in the pictures as clearly as possible. Additional measurements available upon request.
